We believe a great company has a positive impact in the world, and on the people who build it.Conductor Empowers brands to transform their wisdom into marketing that helps people and Transform the workplace into a force that helps people grow.
Pros
Conductor brands itself as a people-first company and during my tenure there, it lived up to it. It's an environment that helps you grow as a professional and a person. Conductor gave me the opportunity to pursue creative solutions to challenges, engage with interesting and brilliant folks, all the while knowing that they care about you. I'd happily recommend anyone seeking something like that to do so at Conductor.Cons
As is with most start-ups, I felt the ebbs and flow of being burnt out at Conductor. I will say, though, that everyone is willing to lend a supporting hand during the troughs of feeling overworked or under-resourced. So guess you can see a bit of positive in a seemingly common feeling within the industry.OUR CULTURE CULTIVATES CHAMPIONS
Push Yourself. Inspire Others. Make a Difference.
We’re a 10-year-old tech start-up that’s continually named “Best Place to Work”. We believe that’s because everyone at Conductor isn’t here simply to do a job, they’re here to make an impact on our customers, each other and the industry. We’re not just building a company, we’re creating an environment where you feel challenged, can challenge the status quo, and truly make a difference.
Empowerment Through Transparency
You’re not an employee, you’re an owner. This is as much your company as it is our Co-Founders. And because of that, we go to great lengths to ensure you have the right information and are empowered to make decisions.
We share business updates at our weekly All Hands Meeting (followed by lunch) and get together for quarterly Town Halls for deeper business reviews (following by fun activities). Everyone has access to our CEO (he sits in the open space next to you) and we encourage tough questions (“Ask Seth”) so you’re always in the know. And everyone participates in monthly and quarterly goal setting and check-ins so there’s opportunity for continuous feedback and improvement.
Humble, But Proud of Our Awards
We prefer to boast about the great work we do for customers, but some people know us for the awards we get on behalf of our people. We’ve been ranked the #2 Best Company to Work For in New York State, voted as one of Crain’s Best Places to Work in NYC for the eighth year running, and was recently named #38 of America’s fastest growing private companies by Inc. Magazine.
We’ll continue to make Conductor a Best Place to Work – we believe it’s core to running a great business. And it’s this environment that ensures we do the best work for customers.
Giving You Time To Give Back To The Community
On top of giving you unlimited vacation time, we encourage all Conductors to take advantage of our flexible work schedule and take time to get involved in the charities you feel most passionate about. And on top of that, The Conductor Foundation (our non-profit arm) offers opportunities throughout the year to give back. Whether through our Quarterly Conductor Cares Charity Challenge that brings Conductors together for a fun challenge to benefit a local charity, or leverage our technology and services to benefit 1 of 3 pro bono customers we take on annually.
Conductor Foundation
The Conductor Foundation allows Conductor to give back as the company continues to grow. Its mission is to provide the knowledge, skills and tools that empower charitable non-profits to improve their online search visibility, raise awareness of their mission, increase donations and inspire volunteerism. Recipients of the Searchlight Grant include the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, WNYC (NPR), the National Kidney Foundation, DC Goodwill, the International Rescue Committee, Housing Works and more.
