Overview

The Emergency Management Coordinator I will assist with departmental administrative functions related to the enterprise-wide Emergency Management Program. Reporting to the Manager, this position will participate in conducting institutional risk assessment, program management, event management, risk communication, training and education, grant administration and all activities required to meet regulatory compliance.

If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination of enterprise-wide hospital based emergency management program.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of all aspects of the hospital's disaster response including, but not limited to, the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), various EOP response annexes and supporting policies, and support and maintenance of the Hospital Command Center (HCC).
  • Assist with the coordination of enterprise-wide risk assessment and training and event response/recovery.
  • Assist other staff and associated personnel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Other degree (preferably healthcare-related) and 1-2 years experience. Preferred experience in healthcare, emergency management, disaster response, training and exercises OR
  • High School diploma, or equivalent, and 5-7 years' experience. Preferred experience in healthcare, emergency management, disaster response, training and exercises

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $28.20/hr, but your salaried offer will be determined based upon your education and experience.

 

 

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
