Skills
- Digital literacy and ability to learn HRIS (e.g., Paychex, Kronos)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Record keeping and file maintenance
- Basic payroll/time reporting and attendance processing
- Onboarding and benefits orientation knowledge
- Detail-oriented with ability to perform audits
Responsibilities
- Coordinate new-hire activities including communication, on-site preparation, orientation scheduling, and onboarding support
- Conduct on-site new employee orientations and complete I-9s and required audits
- Process attendance reporting, timesheet punches, payroll adjustments, and shift transfer changes
- Maintain employee files, initiate drug/background screenings, and perform routine file audits
- Draft, revise, proofread, and distribute HR policies, procedures, and communications
- Assign and track lockers and maintain associated logs
- Provide administrative support to the HRBP and local HR team and assist with HR/office events
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred (business or human resources preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent minimum
- Relevant HR coursework or certifications are a plus
