Skills
- Backend development experience in one or more languages (Python, Ruby, Java, Go)
- Experience with API design (REST and/or GraphQL) and SDKs
- Familiarity with frontend technologies such as TypeScript and React for cross-team collaboration
- Understanding of distributed systems, event delivery, and real-time data pipelines
- Product-oriented mindset with strong ownership and ability to iterate based on feedback
- Interest in and willingness to learn life sciences domain concepts
Responsibilities
- Own projects end-to-end from prototyping to production, including design, implementation, testing, and iteration
- Design and implement robust REST and GraphQL APIs and SDKs for external and internal developers
- Develop and scale event delivery and real-time data systems used across the platform
- Collaborate with product, design, infra, and AI teams to translate user needs into reliable platform features
- Contribute to platform direction, recommending API design, security, and performance improvements
- Support AI agent integrations and contribute to platform protocols like the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Comfortable with continuous learning and applying domain knowledge in life sciences
