Staff Engineer (Remote - US)

Accountabilities

As a Staff Engineer, you will:

• Develop high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested software across the application stack, with a focus on back-end or front-end specialization as needed.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in evaluating, adopting, and implementing emerging technologies such as AI/ML, automation tools, and developer productivity platforms.
• Influence long-term engineering strategy to ensure alignment between technology adoption and business objectives.
• Collaborate with Design and Product teams to deliver features efficiently through the development lifecycle.
• Support teammates in a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, testing, and process improvements to maintain high engineering standards.

Candidates should bring:

• 10+ years of professional software development experience in an Agile environment, ideally with SaaS product development.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js for backend development.
• Familiarity with modern infrastructure essentials, including AWS, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with development tools such as Git and Jira, and practices like testing, code reviews, and pairing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in virtual teams.
• Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
• Prior experience in the healthcare domain or knowledge of clinical trials and HIPAA compliance is a plus.
