This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and optimize cloud-based data solutions that power AI, ML, and LLM initiatives across large-scale business operations. The Data Engineer will collaborate closely with data architects, scientists, software engineers, and product teams to develop scalable data pipelines, maintain high-quality data infrastructure, and support AI/ML workflows. Accountabilities

The Data Engineer / Senior Data Engineer will:

• Implement and maintain scalable data pipelines to support AI/ML and LLM workflows, including data labeling, classification, and document parsing.
• Collaborate with data scientists and labeling teams to ensure reliable access to structured and unstructured data.
• Manage and optimize data storage, partitioning, and clustering strategies to maximize performance and reliability.
• Develop SQL, Python, or Scala-based features and ETL processes to support cloud-based data warehousing.
• Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing robust validation and error-handling mechanisms.
• Document processes, support design discussions, and advocate for best practices across the team.
• Identify and implement improvements across the full lifecycle of data management, from ingestion to reporting layers.
• Senior-level team members additionally: provide code review feedback, guide complex technical problem-solving, assess solution risks and scalability, and support continuous improvement of internal processes and documentation.

Candidates should possess:

• Data Engineer: 4+ years of experience in cloud-based data engineering, including modeling, building, and maintaining data solutions.
• Senior Data Engineer: 7+ years of experience in cloud-based data engineering, with advanced proficiency in AI/ML and LLM workflows.
• Strong skills in SQL, Python, and optionally Scala, with the ability to manipulate, store, and manage large datasets.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and cloud-native platforms such as BigQuery, Spark, Pub/Sub, and Object Storage.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and big data architecture principles.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum) and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with global teams to clarify requirements, confirm priorities, and deliver solutions on schedule.
• Analytical, detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or equivalent experience.

• Competitive base salary: $60,000 – $160,000 USD, with potential bonus and commission.
