Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that support affiliated trading operations
- Implement and operate high-performance, event-driven systems and stream processing pipelines
- Work with relational databases (Postgres) to design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity
- Write concurrent, low-latency code to handle trading workloads and order flows
- Deploy and operate services on AWS (notably RDS and ECS) and integrate with Kafka or other streaming systems
- Collaborate with trading, product, and engineering teams to define requirements and deliver reliable features
- Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshooting production incidents, and driving postmortems
- Help architect order management and trading-related components where applicable
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred
- Advanced degree (MS) is a plus but not required
- Relevant professional experience can substitute for formal education
