Skills
- 5+ years in robotics or autonomous systems with a focus on behavior systems
- Experience in behavior planning, decision-making under uncertainty, path/motion planning, or trajectory generation
- Proven ability to architect large-scale production software for robotic/automotive systems
- Leadership experience managing engineering teams and delivering technical projects
- Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical strategy, roadmap, and architecture for behavior planning focused on L4 autonomous trucks
- Design and oversee implementation of safety-critical behavior and decision-making algorithms across driving domains
- Manage, mentor, and hire a team of engineers focused on behavior systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Perception, Simulation, and Vehicle Operations to integrate the behavior stack
- Own delivery and operationalization of behavior systems for real-world deployments and contractual programs
- Make technical and product trade-offs tied to business objectives and safety requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred but not required
