HR Co-Op

About the role:
Join Zipcar’s HR team as an HR Co-op! This role is ideal for a student eager to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources and Talent Management. You’ll contribute to real projects, collaborate with a mission-driven team, and grow professionally in a fast-paced, supportive environment. 

What you'll do:

  • Lead and coordinate the company’s Co-op Program, including scheduling events, managing communications, and facilitating student engagement initiatives. 

  • Organize and execute Lunch and Learn sessions, performance discussions, and other employee development activities. 

  • Document HR processes to ensure clarity, consistency, and continuous improvement across HR functions. 

  • Support new hire onboarding, including orientation logistics, system setup, and first-day coordination. 

  • Assist with employee engagement programs, surveys, and recognition initiatives. 

  • Collaborate with the HR team on special projects and provide administrative support as needed. 

  • Analyze data to inform decisions or strategies 

  • Present findings or contribution to team meetings 

What you'll learn: 

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of HR operations, including systems, processes, and compliance practices. 

  • Understand the fundamentals of HR operations and employee lifecycle management. 

  • Gain experience in program management and event coordination. 

  • Develop professional communication and organizational skills. 

  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance HR efficiency and employee experience. 

 

What we're looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus. 

  • Proficiency in analyzing and presenting data in a compelling way. 

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn. 

Good-faith salary range:

The hourly rate for this position is between $20-24 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
