Medical Support Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage the scheduling calendar.
- Verify and update patient information in electronic health records.
- Assist patients with check-in and check-out processes, ensuring proper documentation and billing procedures.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area, while facilitating communication between healthcare providers and patients.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services, procedures, and policies.
- Transcribe and document patient communications and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Assist in the management of patient medical records and other confidential information.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare staff to ensure a positive patient experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a medical office or healthcare environment is preferred.
- Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) and medical scheduling software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
