Behavior Technician
Delta, CO
One Full-Time Position. Up to 29 hours per week.
Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings and weekends.
Hiring Range: $20.16 - $21.97 / hr., depending upon education and experience.

Minimum Requirements
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences.
OR
• Bachelor’s degree in a non-social or behavior science.
• Two years' experience supervised by an individual with a MSW or other Master's Degree in the social or behavioral sciences.
Preferred:
• Three years or more experience in child and/or family services.
• Structured Analysis Family Evaluation (SAFE) certification with prior related experience.
• One year prior I/DD or mental health experience.

Position Summary
The Case Manager is responsible for the case coordination of foster clients and foster parents.
Ariel Clinical Services Mission
To provide safe, nurturing, and supportive environments for our clients so that they may have the opportunities to develop their strengths, maximize their potentials and fully participate in society.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities under guidance of Program Supervisor and Manager:
1. Establish rapport with assigned clients/families.
2. Coordinate case with providers and support goals of Family Service Plan.
3. Maintain a clinical record for each client/family per agency standards and adhere to volume 7 regulations ensuring files are always audit ready.
4. Participate in mandatory rotation for 24 hour “on call” to support our clients and families.
5. Participate in group/individual supervision sessions.
6. Represent Ariel Clinical Services by acting as a liaison to local human service agencies and state level agencies, as required/assigned.
7. Monitor and ensure safety of clients and assist/advocate for them to reach their goals and full potential.
8. Supervise the TFC homes to ensure compliance with rules and regulations and assist in training through regular contact and a minimum of monthly home visits.
9. Conduct full/update Structured Analysis Family Evaluations (SAFEs), as qualified.
10. Complete monthly reports and participate in peer review of assigned.
11. Participate in ongoing program evaluation to ensure program effectiveness.

1. Must work closely with other Ariel Programs and offices.

Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. The ability to read, speak and write in English.
2. The ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written format in both individual and group settings.
3. Ability to be flexible, and able to change direction rapidly.
4. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with all records and information.
5. Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, complete a wide variety of tasks in a timely and accurate fashion and direct others, as needed.
6. Basic computer knowledge.
7. Ability to organize and present case material in a straight forward and concise written manner.
8. Knowledge of human development with regard to major milestones of development and normal development parameters.
9. Knowledge of family dynamics with regard to communication, interactions, and general functioning as well as parenting skills and intervention techniques
10. Ability to provide reliable, insured transportation for self and others through the community served.
11. Ability to demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance as scheduled and requested.
Highly Desired:
1. Bilingual/Bi-literate, preferably in Spanish.
Education and Experience
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences.

• Valid Regular Drivers License, with acceptable driving record.
• CPR, First Aid, CPI, as outlined by supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides direction to Case Management Aides and Interns, as requested.
Physical Demands
1. This position requires that the incumbent be capable of bending, sitting, stretching, and/or reaching regularly for periods up to two hours without a break.
2. This position requires that the incumbent have adequate hand and finger dexterity to properly perform the functions of the position.
3. This position requires lifting regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
4. This position requires the ability to hear and see at a level which is adequate to ensure client and staff health and safety. Adaptive devices are acceptable.
5. This position will require daily driving of up to one hour per day and occasionally up to 8 hours per day.
Work Environment
1. Exposure to typical climate-controlled office environment when in the office.
2. Exposure to all climates and weather conditions while working in the field.
3. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious disease is possible, but limited.
4. Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible, but limited.
