Senior Software Engineer, Device OS/Security
Skills
- Design and implement security features on embedded Linux systems
- Linux kernel development or platform firmware (U-Boot, EDK2) or Trusted OS (OP-TEE, Trusty)
- Familiarity with security capabilities of embedded ARM chips (preferably Xilinx or NVIDIA Jetson)
- Experience writing systems code in C and/or Rust
- Knowledge of cryptographic key management and hardware-backed key storage
- Understanding of secure/verified boot, device attestation, and authentication protocols
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with security teams to define requirements and design security-related features for DeviceOS
- Implement security software across Linux userspace, kernel, platform firmware, and ARM TrustZone
- Integrate and securely manage cryptographic keys using hardware-backed features and security co-processors
- Develop and maintain platform firmware components (e.g., U-Boot, EDK2) and trusted OS integrations (e.g., OP-TEE)
- Write automated tests, conduct field testing, and provide deployment and post-deployment support
- Perform code reviews, threat modeling, and participate in security design discussions
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree preferred but not required
