Skills
- Experience implementing NIST RMF and JSIG controls in classified environments
- Proven experience with SSP, POA&M, A&A/ATO processes and accreditation
- Hands-on knowledge of vulnerability scanning, continuous monitoring, and security auditing
- Ability to recommend and configure IDS/IPS, encryption, and access control solutions
- Incident response and investigation experience including containment and reporting
- Strong stakeholder communication with government and engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Document and tailor security controls (NIST 800-53/JSIG) for classified and air-gapped environments
- Maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), POA&Ms, and accreditation artifacts to support ATO efforts
- Perform continuous monitoring, security scanning, vulnerability assessments, and audits
- Support and participate in risk assessments, incident response, and root cause analysis
- Recommend and design technical security solutions (IDS/IPS, encryption, secure communications)
- Collaborate with ISSM, program teams, and government stakeholders to meet contractual security requirements
- Scope and guide development efforts to ensure product compliance with security objectives
- Apply commercial technology standards within classified environments while balancing product velocity and customer needs
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems or equivalent experience
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CISM) preferred
