Hardware Test Engineer
Skills
- Bachelor’s in engineering or related technical field.
- 3+ years experience in manufacturing test, product sustainment, or production engineering.
- Proficiency with MATLAB and Python for data acquisition, processing, and automation.
- Experience building test automation and generating test reports.
- Strong root cause analysis skills across hardware, firmware, and software.
- Experience integrating electrical, opto‑mechanical, and firmware/software systems.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute production test flow and activities across the manufacturing value stream from component-level validation to system acceptance.
- Troubleshoot complex infrared/opto‑mechanical/electrical system failures and create failure-mode libraries with diagnostic guides.
- Develop and maintain test automation software, data analytics pipelines, and automated report generation.
- Create clear MES test work instructions and train technicians on equipment and processes.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCCA) on product failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to support returns, failure analysis, and NPI test design.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment; optimize test strategies to reduce cycle time while preserving quality.
Education
- Bachelor’s in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related field
