Cloud Deployment Engineer, Space
Skills
- 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or cloud operations roles
- Proficiency with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP services
- Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.)
- Strong containerization and orchestration skills (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
- Deep networking knowledge including TCP/IP and security best practices
- Scripting/programming in Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience deploying scalable, secure infrastructure and troubleshooting runtime issues
- Ability to produce compliance and accreditation artifacts for government systems
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Design cloud networking and architecture for classified and unclassified government cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Plan and execute deployments of Lattice stacks using IaC and container orchestration.
- Identify, triage, and remediate Kubernetes and container issues in production and test environments.
- Implement observability, alerting, and maintenance processes for deployed systems.
- Produce and maintain accreditation artifacts and documentation for DoD security/cyber processes.
- Stand up and maintain representative unclassified test environments for development and validation.
- Perform host OS patching, security updates, and ensure compliance with security requirements.
- Provide in-person operational support during mission-critical fielding and sustainment events.
- Collaborate with mission partners and government platform teams to resolve platform issues and integrate solutions.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field preferred
- Equivalent military or technical training with relevant hands-on experience accepted
- Relevant cloud or networking certifications recommended (AWS, Azure, CCNA, etc.)
