- High-precision machining knowledge and hands-on experience
- Experience taking products from R&D into production and scaling processes
- Strong 3D CAD skills with advanced surfacing and large assembly capability
- Familiarity with injection molding, die casting, stamping, CNC, assembly, and box build processes
- Supplier and cross-functional collaboration and project leadership
- Ability to create equipment specifications, production layouts, and training plans
Responsibilities
- Lead projects to develop and qualify tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes for injection molding and high-pressure die casting
- Act as technical decision maker and advisor for internal tool and die manufacturing techniques
- Create and maintain cross-functional business plans, schedules, and supplier/customer relationships
- Manage CapEx strategy, equipment specifications, production layouts, staffing, and training aligned to design configuration
- Develop and manage engineering capacity, schedules, and project plans to support production and R&D demands
- Collaborate with product, industrial, and manufacturing engineering on material selection, design feasibility, and manufacturability
- Research and evaluate new materials, manufacturing technologies, and finishing options
- Estimate prototype and production manufacturing costs for tooling, assembly, finishing, and piece parts
- Publish and maintain detailed schedules for development project segments
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, materials engineering, or related engineering discipline (required)
- Master’s degree or PhD in engineering (preferred)
