Skills
- Proven experience implementing and overseeing EHS programs (4+ years)
- Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 general industry standards
- Familiarity with Hazardous Waste regulations (40 CFR Parts 260-279)
- Strong written and verbal communication with leadership and regulators
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience performing inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action tracking
- Experience with hazardous materials handling, labeling, and storage
Responsibilities
- Investigate accidents/incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventative actions
- Serve as EHS liaison with employees, managers, customers, auditors, and regulators
- Perform and document workplace safety inspections and hazard assessments
- Manage hazardous waste handling, labeling, storage, and compliance with 40 CFR requirements
- Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with safety programs (HazCom, LOTO, respiratory, fall protection, machine guarding, power & hand tools)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coach, train, and influence safe work behaviors
- Support industrial hygiene, ergonomics, stormwater, air emissions, and emergency response programs
Education
- No specific degree required; technical training or a related bachelor's degree preferred (EHS, environmental science, engineering)
- Relevant professional certifications (CSP, CIH, ASP, OSHA 30) are beneficial
