Role Summary

The MGR NDC Program Manager is responsible for executing on the 6-12 month strategy to grow our global New Distribution Capabilities (NDC) and partnerships to drive market share growth Alaska Airlines. They will lead the NDC Product Team and the execution of the NDC roadmap aiming to achieve the product vision and to improve customers’ booking experience, product capabilities, and increase revenues.

Key Duties

  • Work with senior leadership to define and create the NDC product strategy and roadmap aligning with the organization’s strategic goals.  
  • Responsible for creating and delivering the NDC product roadmap feature backlog. Set the NDC product increment objectives and champion the product vision throughout collaboration with IT teams and across the organization.  
  • Gather and analyze market and customer requirements working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to drive product roadmap and priorities features.  
  • Report to senior management NDC roadmap progress aligning with the program KPI metrics. Identify risks, and recommend mitigation plans to secure project deliverables.  
  • Participate in the decision-making process regarding key distribution initiatives, to develop a distribution competitive advantage and to increase channel performance and adoption.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization such as NDC implementation team, solution architects, revenue management, senior management, and other stakeholders to ensure capabilities, scalability and technical requirement are aligned with the long-term product vision goals.  
  • Develops people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on delegation for stretch assignments, growing and developing the team for capacity and growth, looking at performance across the team, and time management. 
  • Shapes culture of team through action, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors. 

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required 

  • 5 years of experience in Sales, Analytics, or other related commercial area (RM, Loyalty, Alliances, etc). 
  • 2 years leadership experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business or other related field; or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. 
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), including the use of Excel pivot tables, graphs, and functions. 
  • Proven knowledge of productivity drivers and analysis. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to keep track of many moving parts and to identify conflicts early. 
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and to constantly seek improvement. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent.  
  • Minimum age of 18. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. 

Preferred 

  • Prior airline experience in Sales, Analytics, or related commercial area.

Starting Rate

Salary Range

$117,850 - $176,800 / year

Bonus

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

 

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
