Senior Manager, Commercial Strategy
Skills
- 10+ years in merchant-facing revenue roles, content strategy, or proposal management
- Proven track record leading and writing successful RFPs, RFIs, and detailed sales proposals
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex financial and technical concepts into clear, persuasive B2B messaging
- Strong project management and organizational skills for simultaneous RFPs
- Experience with payments or fintech and building content for merchants is highly preferred
- Familiarity with RFP software or content management systems a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of persuasive RFP and RFI responses, coordinating cross-functional inputs to craft clear, differentiated narratives
- Design compelling sales and customer success materials (pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies) that translate complex financial products into merchant-focused stories
- Maintain and improve merchant-facing content quality, consistency, and performance through analysis and iteration
- Act as a merchant advocate, ensuring all content addresses merchant pain points and business goals
- Collaborate closely with Product, PMM, Sales, and Marketing to align messaging with product launches and GTM priorities
- Manage multiple concurrent proposal processes, timelines, and stakeholders with strong project management discipline
- Leverage performance data and industry trends to continuously refine content and win strategies
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS) or equivalent experience preferred but not required
