North Carolina | Mental Health Therapist | Telehealth

Affect is expanding its digital-first mental health practice, combining licensed clinicians, technology, and a person-centered approach to treat anxiety, depression, trauma, and related conditions. They seek licensed North Carolina mental health professionals (LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, LPC) to provide virtual psychotherapy, perform diagnostic assessments, and collaborate in a multidisciplinary remote care team.

Skills

  • Active NC license (LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, or LPC) with verifiable credentials
  • Experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient, private practice, or telehealth settings
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
  • Trauma-informed, person-centered therapeutic approach
  • Comfort with EMRs, telehealth platforms, and office tools (Google Suite or Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with professionalism
  • Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace and reliable internet connection

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and develop collaborative, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Deliver individual psychotherapy via secure telehealth platforms
  • Support members with anxiety, depression, trauma, and occasionally co-occurring substance use disorders
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in the EMR
  • Coordinate care and consult with multidisciplinary team members as needed
  • Participate in clinical team meetings and optional case consultations
  • Adhere to HIPAA and state licensure regulations

Education

  • Master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, marriage & family therapy, or related field (per licensure requirements)
  • Active, verifiable North Carolina clinical license (LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, or LPC)
  • Relevant supervised clinical hours per license (if applicable)
