Senior Financial Analyst, Marketing Finance & Strategy
Partner with Marketing and cross-functional teams to advise on strategy, monitor costs, and communicate critical financial developments.
Use financial modeling and innovative analytics to enhance understanding of Zendesk’s CMO organization and identify opportunities to increase value.
Manage headcount forecasting processes for Marketing cost centers, ensuring accuracy, reconciliation, and timely updates through collaboration with business partners.
Facilitate decision-making by preparing clear financial summaries and delivering insights through impactful presentations.
Oversee marketing planning software such as Allocadia, maintaining data integrity and timely updates.
Perform month-end financial close, forecasting, and prepare management reports related to financial results.
Serve as a Finance & Strategy point of contact and approver for purchase and hiring requisition processes.
Drive process improvements and support ad hoc financial analyses aligned with evolving business priorities.
Strong financial modeling skills with advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides).
Excellent time management and prioritization skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
Proactive ownership of tasks with the ability to follow through end-to-end, raising relevant questions or seeking guidance when needed.
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with close attention to detail.
Effective communicator comfortable presenting complex information to various audiences, including executives.
High emotional intelligence with proven success partnering across matrixed organizations
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in finance or related disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree.
Experience with financial planning software (Adaptive preferred).
Familiarity with SQL or other data analysis tools.

The US annualized base salary range for this position is $92,000.00-$138,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
