We're seeking a Senior Product Manager on the Data team to lead our efforts in developing AI/ Machine Learning products. From powering customer-facing features to optimizing internal workflows, data, AI and machine learning are becoming foundational across Zapier—this role offers a unique opportunity to shape where and how we invest, building both user-facing products and internal tools that unlock customer value.

As the Senior PM for Data, you’ll guide the work of Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers and AI Engineers through the next critical stages of AI development at Zapier. You’ll partner with engineering, product and insights teams to define and execute the strategy that helps Zapier leverage AI and Machine Learning in the best possible way.

In this role, you'll:

• Identify opportunities and drive a roadmap for the development of AI and Machine Learning efforts across all of Zapier’s Build zones & teams.

• Engage deeply with our internal customers in Build, Engineering or Go To Market organizations, using real-world usage, feedback, pain points and strategic vision to prioritize the highest leverage things that will help Zapier succeed.

• Work across teams to ensure AI/ML products integrate effectively into Zapier’s most important initiatives and are at the core of their success.

• Evolve the AI/ML product portfolio to support enterprise needs such as security, scalability, and data privacy.

• Bring clarity and focus to ambiguity, saying no when needed and staying aligned with business and customer needs.

This high-visibility role requires a strong sense of product ownership, technical fluency in AI/ML-related products, and a desire to build new products from the ground up with empathy and precision.

About You

You’re a builder at heart. You thrive in the 0–1 and 1–10 product phases and have led products through their earliest stages toward broader adoption.

You’re customer-focused. You talk to users regularly and use their needs and insights to justify roadmap decisions and resolve ambiguity.

You bring technical depth. You’re comfortable in discussions about data/AI specific system design, runtime limits, and API architecture. You use this understanding to work effectively with engineers and make sound product decisions.

You prioritize effectively. You balance short-term delivery and long-term investment. You know when to experiment, when to refine, and when to scale.

You work iteratively. You’re comfortable evolving strategies and roadmaps based on feedback, metrics, and real-world usage.

You collaborate cross-functionally. You have a pulse on what’s happening across the company and represent both customer and stakeholder needs in your decisions.

You are a skilled written communicator. Zapier is a 100% remote team and writing is our primary means of communication. You can clearly communicate product strategy, decisions, and vision to varied audiences.

Things You’ll Do

• Keep a running list of opportunities for AI/ML investment across Zapier, and advocate for its prioritization regularly based on evolving needs at Zapier.

• Work in a cross-functional team to decide what to build next and deliver it.

• Talk with existing and potential users, as well as stakeholders to understand pain points and opportunities.

• Work closely with engineers to scope and deliver features that have the highest leverage for our customers.

• Define and track success metrics and use data and customer insights to guide prioritization and product strategy.

• Support the transition from early beta to scalable adoption and enterprise readiness.
