Program Financial Controller

Voyager Technologies is a defense, national security and space technology company focused on delivering mission-critical solutions. The Program Financial Controller for the Starlab Space Station Program will lead program-level financial management, partnering with program leadership, procurement and IPT managers to drive cost control, forecasting (EAC), reporting, and compliance across multi-site US and European activities.

Skills

  • Strong financial analysis and forecasting (EAC) skills
  • Proficient in SAP and ERP-based financial systems
  • Experience with WBS and multi-program financial management
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, modeling) and VBA helpful
  • Variance analysis, cost control and reconciliation expertise
  • Ability to present financial insights to senior stakeholders
  • Experience with program risk/opportunity quantification
  • Familiarity with government/institutional customer environments (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with work package/IPT managers to optimize financial and operational performance and align with project goals
  • Lead development and maintenance of Estimate at Completion (EAC) calculations, forecasts, budgets and variance analyses
  • Drive financial reporting for management reviews with KPIs, cost control and compliance focus
  • Partner with procurement on contract and proposal cost estimates and costing sheets
  • Establish and maintain a risks & opportunities framework linking financial impact to mitigation actions
  • Support monthly financial reporting processes including budget vs. actual variance analysis and ETC tracking
  • Manage project controlling data (EAC database, actuals reporting) and deliver analytical insights and presentations for management
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of program expenses to CBS and WBS structures
  • Act as financial business partner to the Program Manager/COO and support program decision-making
  • Monitor purchasing process and recommend corrective actions for contract costing and performance
  • Fulfill program control requirements across cost control, reporting, geographic distribution and monthly reviews
  • Analyze correlation between technical progress, actuals and forecasts; support change decisions and business cases
  • Drive continuous improvement in program controlling and reporting processes

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field required
  • Master’s degree or CPA/CMA desirable
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
