Quantitative Portfolio Analyst – 2026 Grad

Point72's Portfolio Construction & Analytics Team (PCAT) seeks an entry-level Quantitative Portfolio Analyst to analyze drivers of success for long/short equity strategies, build analytic frameworks, forecast strategy performance, and partner with portfolio managers to improve idea generation, portfolio construction, and trading. The role is ideal for a soon-to-be 2026 graduate with quantitative research or portfolio management internship/project experience and strong Python and statistical modeling skills.

Skills

  • Intermediate to advanced Python proficiency
  • Experience with statistical models and quantitative finance methods
  • Ability to analyze portfolio construction and trading patterns
  • Strong attention to detail and project management
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Capacity to work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity

Responsibilities

  • Analyze investment strategies to identify strengths, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities
  • Forecast strategy performance to inform capital allocation decisions
  • Invent and implement new analytics to quantify skill and trade-offs between risk sources
  • Quantify market drivers to support risk taking and decision making
  • Communicate findings to PMs, PCAT team members, and senior leadership
  • Develop, maintain, and contribute to shared codebase, reports, and research tools

Education

  • Expected Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Finance or a STEM-related field
  • Degree to be conferred Fall 2025 or Spring 2026
