Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day nursing operations for the hospital, including supervision and scheduling of nurses, technicians, and assistants
- Oversee nursing payroll budgets and optimize staffing utilization
- Hire, onboard, and support performance management and offboarding for nursing staff
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and Medical Director to establish and maintain nursing standards and workflows
- Implement VEG nursing guidelines, policies and operational projects
- Drive nurse education, credential maintenance, internships/externships, and continuing education opportunities
- Resolve patient care issues and interpersonal conflicts and participate in weekly leadership meetings
Education
- AS or BS in Veterinary Technology
- Credentialed veterinary technician license required in practice location (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT)
