- Deep knowledge of modern Linux system architecture and embedded software
- Experience with UEFI, bootloaders, and driver development
- Familiarity with Yocto-based Linux distributions and containerization
- Understanding of storage, filesystems, and block device mapping
- Experience integrating devices with microservice backends (Golang/Python)
- Background in video streaming technologies and performance optimization
- Knowledge of security practices for devices (encryption, secure boot)
- Proven people leadership, hiring, and cross-functional communication skills
Responsibilities
- Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team
- Define product and technical roadmap with Product and Hardware partners
- Drive project planning, execution, delivery, and cross-team coordination
- Own product quality, reliability, performance, and user experience
- Architect and review embedded Linux, boot, driver, and storage subsystems
- Collaborate with CV and backend teams to optimize AI inference and streaming
- Ensure security practices such as encryption, signing, and secure/trusted boot
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant discipline preferred
