Job Description

Unitek EMT is a premier training school for Emergency Medical Technicians located in Tempe, Arizona. Our mission is to train the Emergency Medical Technicians of tomorrow through an accelerated EMT training program that includes 140 hours of EMS instruction delivered via a comprehensive 14-day EMT Boot Camp.


We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Sr. Director of Operations to oversee operations at our Tempe campus. This role will not only be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our training programs, but will also take the lead in shaping and executing a long-term growth strategy for Unitek EMT. The Sr. Director of Operations will identify new opportunities, build partnerships, and develop initiatives that drive enrollment, enhance program offerings, and position Unitek EMT for sustained success. We are looking for a motivated individual who can oversee daily operations, drive business development, and play a key role in charting the future direction of our institution to meet the evolving needs of our students and community.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Tempe campus, ensuring compliance with educational standards and regulations.
  • Manage the fi nancial operations of the business, including P&L (Profi ts and Loss) statements and balance sheets, ensuring fi nancial sustainability and effective resource allocation.
  • Lead and support the sales team for Unitek EMT, driving enrollment strategies and performance.
  • Manage and lead the instructional staff, providing guidance and support to enhance teaching quality and student success.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase enrollment and improve the student experience.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote Unitek EMT’s offerings and maintain a strong community presence.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within fi nancial guidelines.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis and feedback, making adjustments as necessary to meet organizational goals.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that promotes hands-on training and real-world simulations.
  • Engage with students, staff, and external partners to build relationships that support the mission and vision of Unitek EMT.
  • Cultivate a growth-oriented mindset within the team, focusing on business expansion and identifying new opportunities to enhance Unitek EMT’s impact and reach.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related fi eld; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in educational management, preferably in a training or healthcare environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L statements and budget oversight.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of emergency medical services (EMS) and familiarity with EMT training.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
