Skills
- 6+ years of backend development experience
- Production experience at scale with generative AI applications or platforms
- Proficient in Python; familiarity with TypeScript or Java; experience in Go or Rust is a plus
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
- Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Terraform
- Comfortable with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and alerting tools
- Experience with agile development methodologies and collaborative tooling
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain core backend platform services with emphasis on reliability and scalability
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices and code review processes
- Integrate services across the platform and collaborate with ML, product, and frontend teams
- Contribute to infrastructure automation, IaC (Terraform), monitoring, and alerting
- Help define and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration strategies
- Create and update technical documentation and runbooks
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues; participate in on-call rotations
- Support project planning, milestones, and timely delivery of features
Education
- Bachelor's degree required (Computer Science, Engineering, or related field)
- Master's degree highly desirable
