Staff Software Engineer, Provider Interoperability
Skills
- Proven experience building high-performance backend services and APIs at scale
- Strong knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, and scalability patterns
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7) and healthcare integration challenges
- Experience with cloud platforms and production-grade observability, monitoring, and CI/CD
- Excellent technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Product-minded engineering with a focus on reliability, data integrity, and user impact
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical roadmap for interoperability and data exchange platforms
- Design, build, and maintain large-scale APIs and microservices for reliable, low-latency data flows
- Collaborate with product, analytics, and partner teams to identify platform capabilities and new product opportunities
- Champion best practices in testing, CI/CD, observability, and deployment to improve team output and reliability
- Mentor and grow engineering talent; establish coding standards and automated workflows
- Explore and prototype advanced approaches such as generative AI, new data sources, and architectural innovations
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus but not required
