Responsibilities
- Build, hire, and manage a cross-functional technical team (engineers, data scientists, designers) including onboarding and performance management
- Define team culture, processes, and ways of working for a new, fast-moving team
- Create clarity and alignment across interdependent projects and architectural decisions
- Partner with product and leadership to create and maintain an engineering roadmap and meet delivery milestones
- Ensure software quality while balancing speed-to-market; run sprint planning and delivery processes
- Communicate goals, risks, and progress to executive leadership clearly and confidently
- Make prioritized hiring, technical, and product trade-off decisions with incomplete information
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Graduate degree or additional technical education is a plus but not required
