This is a hybrid position with an expectation to be in our Fort Wayne, IN office a minimum of two days per week. This position does not qualify for relocation assistance. Position Summary
The Associate Software Engineer is an entry-level role focused on supporting the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Java-based software solutions. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in agile development processes, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality applications. The role also includes client-related support and documentation efforts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and release sessions.
Assist in developing unit test cases for new features and bug fixes.
Provide technical support and help diagnose software issues.
Document and maintain root cause analyses for reported issues.
Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of existing software solutions.
Assist in preparing functional and technical documentation.
Collaborate with team members to develop and document potential solutions.
Assist in collecting and documenting technical requirements.

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Familiarity with Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and object-oriented programming.
Basic understanding of SQL, relational databases, and the SDLC.
Exposure to tools such as Chrome, GitLab, Atlassian Jira, and automation frameworks.
Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
Basic time management and organizational abilities.
Basic problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong listening skills.
