Associate Manager - Supply Chain Operations

Position Overview

  • Department: Supply Chain Management
  • Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, Days 
  • Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's East

What You Will Do

The Associate Manager, Supply Chain Operations supports the daily activities of the Supply Chain Management department. This role works closely with the Manager to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely distribution of products and services while maintaining compliance with organizational standards. The Associate Manager provides frontline leadership, assists with staff development, and helps monitor departmental performance and improvement initiatives.

 

  • Orders, tracks, and manages supplies and local inventory.
  • Maintains local delivery schedules and escalates supply needs in emergent cases.
  • Ensures the continuity of care through efficient delivery and stocking of inventory at a Participant site (healthcare facility).
  • Tracks and analyzes data and KPIs to monitor progress and quickly identify and react to issues.
  • Assists in the development of local relationships to enhance customer service to participants.
  • Analyzes and monitors the accuracy of departmental supply budgets, regulatory compliance, supply and service contracts, and vendor relations
  • Understands the financial statement impact of the activities performed by the Operations team.
  • Understands balance-sheet and income statement impacts from inventory and other requisitions.
  • Troubleshoots questions from Finance/Accounting to determine operational causes of financial variations.
  • Assists UAB in achieving its financial goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need

Education: 

  • High School diploma equivalency with three (3) years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with two (2) years of cumulative experience OR seven (7) years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Three (3) years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
