Many of us come from the field ourselves, giving us a deep understanding of the industry’s unique challenges.

After years of building the “brain” of construction, we’re now launching production-ready AI agents—starting with intelligent document processing and Q&A, and rapidly expanding into core operational workflows. Our team has doubled in the past year, and with 65+ employees (25+ engineers), we’re scaling fast and entering a period of hypergrowth—this is a rare opportunity to join at an inflection point.

The Role

Hybrid 3-days in our Soho office in NYC.

We’re hiring a Business Recruiter to own and scale hiring across our go-to-market and operations teams. This isn’t a sit-back-and-source role. You’ll partner closely with founders and hiring managers, build pipelines from scratch, close top candidates, and be relentless about bringing in the right people.

What You’ll Do

  • Own end-to-end recruiting for Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, and G&A roles

  • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of business candidates through sourcing, referrals, outreach, and creative tactics

  • Run fast and efficient recruiting processes, from screens to closing

  • Partner with hiring managers to write job descriptions, calibrate profiles, and align on what great looks like

  • Drive a smooth and human candidate experience at every step

  • Track metrics, move fast, and iterate constantly

  • Represent Trunk Tools at events, in outreach, and in how we show up as a company

  • Build our recruiting muscle while staying scrappy—we’re early, and everyone here wears multiple hats

Requirements

  • 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally at a high-growth startup

  • Experience hiring across go-to-market and business teams

  • Proven success sourcing, closing, and managing multiple searches at once

  • Strong judgment and intuition around talent and team dynamics

  • Clear, thoughtful communication and process instincts

  • Comfortable in a hybrid or in-office startup culture (we’re NYC-based)

Nice to Have

  • Experience as a founding recruiter or early recruiting hire

  • Exposure to hiring for technical roles

  • You’ve built something from scratch—pipeline, process, or even a company

    Upon submitting your application, you’ll receive a brief assignment designed to give us insight into your recruiting approach.

  • 30-Minute Introductory Call

    You’ll have a quick video call with our internal recruiter to get to know each other and discuss your background and motivations.

  • 45-Minute Interview with Director of Operations

    A deeper dive into your experience and how it aligns with our operational and recruiting goals.

  • Case Study Assignment

    You’ll be asked to complete a case study outlining your full-cycle recruiting process—from intake to offer. This helps us understand how you think, operate, and solve challenges.

  • Case Study Presentation

    You’ll present your case study to our internal recruiter, walking through your approach, assumptions, and thought process.

  • 30-Minute Interview with a GTM Hiring Manager

    This final step gives you the opportunity to meet a potential business partner and explore how you’d collaborate.
