A1 Garage Door Service is the national leader in garage door repair and installation. We are scaling our in-house creative program to support brand storytelling, social content, and campaign needs that fuel performance across markets.
We are hiring a Graphic Designer (1099 contract) to be the visual wing to our content engine. You’ll work crafting thumbnails, blog graphics, social posts, and print/digital assets. We need someone creative, consistent, and playful with layout, who can jump in 2–3 days/week in Phoenix for brainstorming and alignment.
What You’ll Do
Design visual assets: blog header images, thumbnails, social graphics, collateral
Work from and refine templates while keeping brand consistency
Prepare files for web and print (exporting, resizing, compressing)
Automate simple design tasks or workflows when you can
Work inside project tools (Monday, ClickUp, or similar)
Collaborate in person (2–3 days per week) to sync design with content and marketing
Adapt quickly to changes and challenges that come with a fast-paced environment
What You’ll Bring
1–3 years of graphic design experience (strong portfolio is a must)
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Comfortable designing thumbnails and social graphics
Good eye for layout, typography, color, visual hierarchy
Eager to learn, fast feedback loops, and open to iteration
Extremely organized with files, layers, and versions
Resourceful and creative in finding clever solutions to complex challenges
Bonus: experience with brand or home services is great, but not required
Agency experience is a plus
Where and How You’ll Work
Hybrid at our Phoenix HQ 2–3 days per week
Part-time to start with possibility to grow as the program scales
