Content and Communications Intern
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience with design tools (Figma, Canva, or Adobe preferred)
- Photo editing and basic image correction skills
- Presentation design skills
- Familiarity with social media asset specifications and advertising basics
- Good time management, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- A strong interest in storytelling and social impact
Responsibilities
- Conduct site-wide audits to identify branding and UX inconsistencies (captions, colors, fonts, paragraph styling)
- Review blog and marketing pages and flag UX needs for newsletter, email, or sign-up modules
- Color-correct and re-crop photos for web and social use
- Create slide presentations that tell the stories of Kiva partners and borrowers
- Design creative assets for Meta ads and social media channels
- Develop reusable template designs for multi-channel social content
- Collaborate with Content, Creative, and Communications teams to maintain brand consistency
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or senior-level enrollment in communications, graphic design, marketing, or related field
- Must be at least 21 years of age by January 13, 2026
- Authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
