Role: Public Training Manager

Location: This role will be remote in the continental United States

Reports to: Director of Public Training

Classification: Exempt Full Time

Union Role?  Yes

Salary Range: 74,880 - 85,000K 


Summary: 

This role will be responsible for facilitating public trainings, delivering keynotes, and acting as an official Trevor spokesperson when needed. They will design new training materials and update existing content that will educate adults who interface with youth and organizational partners across a number of topics: Trevor’s mission and life-saving work, how to effectively engage with and be an ally to LGBTQ+ youth, discussing suicide, leveraging resources /programs available through Trevor, etc.   The Public Training Manager will also support team operations and report to the Director of Public Training.


Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate live webinars and in-person trainings around the country
  • Update training materials with cutting edge education as it becomes available
  • Create facilitator guides/scripts and cross branded slide decks for partners
  • Organize, track, and respond to public speaking and training inquiries
  • Track and report training metrics
  • Strategize and pursue new opportunities for public training and education initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Communications team and others across the organization to ensure public training needs are met, including but not limited to internal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion educational trainings
  • Support the Public Training team’s operational needs such as coordinating team travel, developing partner and training logistics, and managing the Education@ email inbox
  • Travel as needed  for live in-person facilitation including possible international travel, travel is contingent on Trevor’s health and safety protocols in conjunction with domestic policies 
  • Demonstrate fair, ethical, and equitable business practices

  • Demonstrate successful planning and problem-solving skills, including multitasking and working well within tight timelines

  • Other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience in facilitating training is required
  • Proficiency in: 
- Curriculum and instructional design
- Public speaking, facilitation, and training
  • People Manager only: Experience leading, developing, coaching, and managing the performance of direct reports (For first-time people manager roles:  Experience training and mentoring others.) 
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English


$74,880 - $85,000 a year
