Responsibilities
- Manage capital project and asset accounting, ensuring accurate records and timely processing of construction and engineering invoices.
- Partner with delivery teams to confirm funding availability and maintain fiscal documentation.
- Prepare, analyze, and resolve complex financial discrepancies and reconciliations.
- Coordinate budget transfers, M&C’s, and purchase order processing with Planning & Data Analytics.
- Support grant-related contract issues, RFP/Bid processes, and Council communications monitoring.
- Monitor expenditures, perform closeouts and capitalization of projects, and prepare reporting for stakeholders.
- Apply lean principles to improve business processes and participate in division work plan development.
- Provide lead or supervisory guidance to staff, including training and workflow coordination.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, accounting, or related field
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
