Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and direct general operations for a designated library region
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate branch managers and regional staff
- Implement strategic and tactical objectives aligned with the Library’s mission and values
- Manage scheduling, payroll approvals, leave requests, and personnel issues in compliance with policies and laws
- Develop succession plans and provide professional development and mentoring
- Monitor regional budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure fiscal adherence
- Prepare reports, monitor statistics, and evaluate service trends and outcomes
- Foster community partnerships and represent the Library in civic and coalition groups
- Deliver presentations to staff, stakeholders, and decision-making groups as assigned
Education
- Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited college or university in Library and Information Science
