Responsibilities
- Oversee two teams managing Microsoft 365, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, backup/recovery and network/data center infrastructure
- Plan, coordinate, administer and evaluate infrastructure programs, projects, systems, standards and service offerings
- Supervise staff: assign work, conduct performance evaluations, ensure training and enforce policies
- Design and implement technology solutions in collaboration with IT divisions, departmental stakeholders and vendors
- Assess existing systems for improvements and recommend technology investments aligned with city objectives
- Participate in divisional budget development and monitor expenditures
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and manage audits and reporting
- Maintain readiness and staffing for 24x7 operational support and on-call responsibilities
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Computer Technology or related field (required)
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, CISSP) preferred
- Candidate without degree may be considered with substantially more relevant experience
