Responsibilities
- Write and distribute original, accurate breaking news content quickly
- Curate, schedule and publish content across website, mobile app, streaming and social platforms
- Edit reporter stories for grammar, clarity, structure and AP style
- Optimize and package digital stories using subheads, hyperlinks, graphics and multimedia
- Research facts, verify sources and monitor news releases and social listening for story leads
- Use audience data and metrics to inform editorial and distribution decisions
- Support breaking news coverage and coordinate with newsroom staff during live events
- Perform additional tasks as assigned and uphold journalistic integrity and station brand
Education
- BA/BS in journalism, communications or related field, or equivalent experience
