- 3+ years professional React Native development experience
- Experience building and shipping apps for Fire TV or Android-based CTV platforms
- Knowledge of native module bridging on Android (Java/Kotlin) for React Native
- Experience with ExoPlayer and HLS-based video playback
- Familiarity with SSAI/DAI ad integrations and analytics SDKs
- Comfort debugging on device and profiling memory/performance
- Experience working in Agile teams and cross-functional collaboration
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and Git
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain React Native applications tailored for Amazon Fire TV and Android-based CTV devices.
- Optimize UI and UX for large-screen lean-back experiences, DPAD navigation, and remote control interactions.
- Integrate and bridge native Android modules and custom code for Fire OS-specific features.
- Implement and maintain video playback using ExoPlayer and HLS streaming.
- Integrate SSAI/DAI ad tech, analytics SDKs, and other CTV toolchains.
- Diagnose and debug device-specific issues, optimize memory and performance, and improve app stability.
- Collaborate with backend, product, design, QA teams and participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and sprint planning.
- Work within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) for continuous testing and releases.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Relevant coursework or training in mobile/Android development and multimedia streaming is a plus
