Responsibilities
- Perform authoritative live shots during developing and breaking stories
- Develop and pitch story ideas and enterprise reporting
- Build and maintain sources throughout the community
- Shoot, write, produce and edit content for on-air and online within deadlines
- Use creative production techniques (graphics, viewer-submitted media, webcam interviews) to enhance stories
- Use social media and digital tools for research, discovery and distribution
- Attend editorial meetings and contribute story ideas daily
- Operate news gathering vehicle to and from locations
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field preferred
