Responsibilities
- Pitch, write and produce stories for broadcast and streaming across multiple lengths and platforms
- Build engaging rundowns combining live shots, video, graphics and sound to tell emotional and informative stories
- Manage live coverage for breaking news and continuous streaming events in the booth
- Collaborate with reporters, anchors, digital and technical teams to shape show content
- Use analytics and audience data to inform story selection and show pacing
- Meet tight daily deadlines and adapt quickly to changing news events
- Advocate for inclusive coverage and elevate underrepresented communities and perspectives
- Experiment with new formats and approaches after coordination with supervisors
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field preferred or equivalent experience
- Relevant newsroom or production training and demonstrated producing experience
