Overview
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer in San Antonio, TX at our VIA Project to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist Project Manager and Project Engineer and act as support for the field.
Know the contractual obligations that HCC has with the client and vice versa.
Review and log shop drawings; assist field engineers with processing of submittals and RFI’s
Code materials, labor and equipment.
Procurement and timely delivery of materials to the project.
Process material submittals and requests for information.
Assist with Subcontract administration
Acquire and assist with closing construction-related permits
Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of company Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Four-year engineering degree plus two or more years similar construction scheduling experience or equivalent combinations of training and related experience.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with a team
Must have strong organization skills
Must be highly motivated
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Prolog or PM Web is a plus
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

Perform light work, occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force.
Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
Occasionally ascend/descend step ladders and/or stairs.

Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.
Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position.
Able to work in conditions with loud noise; work on/around heavy/moving machinery.
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet).
