Director of Music Partnerships

StubHub is the world’s leading marketplace for live event tickets, and the Direct Issuance team is building strategic direct-ticketing relationships with promoters, venues, festivals, and artists. We’re seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Director of Music Partnerships to own the full partnership lifecycle across North American concerts and festivals, driving deal sourcing, negotiation, and cross-functional activation to scale direct inventory on our platform.

Skills

  • 10+ years in business development, partnerships, or live entertainment sales, ideally focused on music/live events
  • Proven track record of closing high-value deals with promoters, venues, festivals, or artist organizations
  • Strong negotiation, contract structuring, and commercial acumen
  • Deep understanding of North American live events landscape, festival economics, and ticketing dynamics
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and stakeholder influence skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently across the U.S. and Canada (up to 50%)

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and lead ticketing partnerships with promoters, festivals, venues, and artist representatives across North America
  • Own full sales cycle: outreach, relationship building, deal structuring, negotiation, and contracting
  • Build and maintain deep executive-level relationships across the live events ecosystem
  • Represent StubHub at industry conferences, events, and festivals (domestic travel up to 50%)
  • Collaborate with legal, product, marketing, and operations to activate and scale partnerships
  • Maintain pipeline reporting, forecast performance, and contribute to team growth targets
  • Stay current on industry policies, distribution trends, and technology to refine partnership strategy

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • Relevant industry certifications or continuing education in sales, partnerships, or live events a plus
  • Demonstrated ongoing professional development in negotiation, deal structuring, or partnership management
