Role Summary: As Head of FP&A at Stand Insurance, you will own all financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis across the business. You’ll partner closely with the executive team to provide actionable insights, ensure financial discipline, and support data-driven decision-making. This is a hands-on role in a fast-scaling Series B Insurtech, ideal for someone who can operate at both a strategic and tactical level.
Core Responsibilities:
Own financial planning, forecasting, and performance tracking across the company
Partner with the CEO and department heads to align financial plans with strategic priorities
Architect and optimize the financial data environment to reduce manual processes and enhance real-time analytics across the platform
Design, build, and maintain dynamic reporting tools and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, etc.) to track revenue, margin, expenses, KPIs, and business performance
Develop and maintain models for revenue, expense, and cash flow forecasting
Create and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for leadership and the board
Lead annual budgeting processes and ongoing budget-to-actuals analysis
Provide scenario modeling to guide decision-making in uncertain or dynamic market conditions
Oversee implementation and optimization of finance systems and processes
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and audit requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
8+ years of progressive finance experience with deep FP&A expertise, ideally in high-growth, venture-backed companies
Proven ability to build forecasting models, budgets, and dashboards from scratch in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional analytical skills with a track record of translating complex data into clear, actionable business recommendations
Strong understanding of SaaS- or insurance-related financial drivers, including unit economics and risk-based revenue models
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and familiarity with modern FP&A tools
Comfort working cross-functionally and directly with executive teams and boards
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Experience in insurance, lending, or other regulated industries
Familiarity with climate risk models, catastrophe modeling, or property insurance underwriting metrics
Prior role supporting Series B+ funding stages or scaling from $20M to $100M+ revenue
Exposure to capital planning, treasury, or reinsurance structures (even if not owning them directly)

Compensation:
The base salary for this role is $210,000 - $220,000.
