Skills
- Hands-on mechanical and electrical systems experience
- Electronic testing and inspection with portable measurement devices
- Experience with thermal vacuum, vibration, and shock testing
- Instrumentation knowledge (strain gauges, load cells, RTDs, accelerometers)
- Proficiency with electrical tools (oscilloscope, multimeter, soldering)
- Familiarity with harness build/termination and fabrication equipment
- Basic CAD and scripting/programming familiarity (NX, TeamCenter, Python, C++)
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work flexible/extended hours
- ITAR eligibility per U.S. export regulations
Responsibilities
- Assemble, instrument, and test satellite flight hardware through development, production, and on-orbit correlation
- Activate, evaluate, monitor, and maintain environmental test equipment (thermal, thermal vacuum, HASS/HALT, vibration, shock)
- Build, activate, and troubleshoot custom test racks and automated equipment interfaces
- Execute structural and mechanical tests for small- and large-scale satellite components
- Plan, build, and activate test equipment with engineering (mechanical assemblies, gas, hydraulic, cryogenic systems)
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and harnessing (pressure transducers, flowmeters, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate degree in a technical field (preferred)
