Skills
- Proficient in C/C++ development, especially for embedded systems
- Deep knowledge of IEEE 802.11 (Wi‑Fi) standards and testing
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (UDP, TCP/IP, DHCP, IPv4/IPv6)
- Experience with Linux networking stack, kernel modules, and device drivers
- Experience with embedded networking equipment and firmware
- Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, build and deployment pipelines
- Debugging and performance optimization at system/kernel level
Responsibilities
- Drive the Wi‑Fi software and product roadmap for Starlink customer equipment
- Debug and optimize kernel‑level system and network performance
- Collaborate with RF and electrical engineering teams to improve test procedures for hardware and software
- Mentor and grow software engineers, fostering a strong engineering culture
- Improve Wi‑Fi mesh performance and reliability across customer deployments
- Invent and build tools for more frequent, reliable software deployment, automated test execution, and data analysis as part of CI/CD
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or STEM discipline OR equivalent professional experience
- Advanced degree in a relevant field is beneficial but not required
