Kepler AI was founded by two Palantir veterans with 20 years of combined experience building core parts of Palantir's Gotham and Foundry Platform. The Role

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Keru, you'll architect and build the core platform that powers our AI-native research experience. You'll own the complete user journey—from intuitive React interfaces that financial professionals love to robust backend systems that process billions of data points in real-time.

You'll live our core principle of 'Forward-Deployed with Product DNA' - building platform features that directly solve real customer problems while maintaining the scalability and reliability needed to serve the entire market. Your code will power research workflows that drive million-dollar investment decisions across our lighthouse financial clients.

This role is ideal for engineers who want to build foundational technology at the intersection of AI and finance, where strong code architecture powers an exceptional user experience and directly impact our clients' ability to make critical business decisions.

What You'll Do

• Frontend Excellence & User Experience: Build sophisticated React applications with TypeScript that financial professionals rely on for critical research. Create intuitive interfaces for complex data visualization, AI-powered insights, and seamless integration workflows using modern design systems and Tailwind CSS.

• Backend Systems & API Development: Design and implement scalable code that orchestrates AI workflows, manage complex data pipelines, and integrate with enterprise financial tools.

• Full-Stack Feature Development: Own complete features from concept to production - designing React components, implementing backend services, optimizing database queries, and ensuring seamless end-to-end functionality.

• Platform Architecture & Scalability: Build systems that scale from prototype to enterprise, implementing caching strategies, optimizing database performance, and architecting microservices that handle high-volume financial data processing.

• AI Integration & Workflow Engineering: Integrate cutting-edge language models and AI capabilities into production applications, building intelligent research workflows that augment human decision-making with AI insights.

• Enterprise Integration Development: Build robust integrations with financial platforms (Bloomberg Terminal, CapIQ, internal trading systems) using modern web technologies and enterprise authentication protocols.

• Performance Engineering: Optimize application performance across the full stack - from React component rendering and bundle optimization to database query performance and API response times.

• Product Development Collaboration: Work closely with product and design teams to translate user requirements into technical architecture, participating in user research sessions and iterating based on real client feedback.

• Production Excellence: Implement comprehensive testing strategies, monitoring, and deployment pipelines. Own the reliability of features you build from development through production operations.

What We're Looking For

• A future technical startup founder

• 4+ years of full-stack development experience with a proven track record of shipping production applications at scale

• Modern Frontend Expertise: Advanced proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS preferred). Experience with state management (Redux/Zustand), testing frameworks (Jest/Vitest), and build tools (Vite/Webpack).

• Backend Development Skills: Strong experience with Node.js, Python, or similar backend technologies. Proficiency in API design, database modeling (PostgreSQL/MongoDB), and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).

• Full-Stack Architecture: Experience designing and implementing complete application architectures, from database schema to React component hierarchies. Understanding of performance optimization across the entire stack.

• Enterprise Application Experience: Background building applications for enterprise customers, including experience with authentication systems, role-based access control, and enterprise security requirements.

• Data-Driven Development: Experience working with large datasets, building data visualization interfaces, and integrating with analytics platforms or data processing pipelines.

• Financial Services Exposure: Previous experience building applications for financial firms, understanding of financial workflows, or familiarity with financial data platforms (preferred but not required).

• Modern Development Practices: Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and agile development methodologies.

• Technical Communication: Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with product, design, and engineering teams. Comfortable discussing technical trade-offs and architecture decisions.

• Product Mindset: User-focused approach to development with experience gathering requirements, iterating based on feedback, and building features that solve real customer problems.

• Startup Experience: Thrives in fast-paced environments where you'll work across the full technology stack and directly impact product direction and company growth.
