Skills
- Proficiency in Python and experience with other languages (C#, C++, JavaScript, MATLAB, LabVIEW)
- Hands-on hardware test experience including thermal, vibration, shock, TVAC
- Test automation, instrumentation control, and data collection
- Ability to read and analyze electrical schematics and PCB assemblies
- Troubleshooting and debugging of hardware and test software
- Strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Own flight hardware through thermal, vibration, shock, and other screening procedures and act as primary contact for test issues
- Ensure avionics hardware meets SpaceX and customer requirements after testing
- Develop and maintain automation software (primarily Python) to interface with hardware, test equipment, and instrumentation
- Troubleshoot and update test software and procedures to address failures and incorporate design changes
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and production teams to resolve high-complexity testing challenges
- Drive continuous improvement to increase throughput, reduce cost, and meet launch cadence
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or physics (required)
